Oddbods

Here you can see the trailer of an animation series I'm involved in as a color artist at One Animation, Singapore.

It is apparently simple but like all simple things, very complex to achieve in a proper balance.

My work consisted in choosing a few flat tones and values to build a very limited color scheme: objects rendered in a soft lighting with almost no shadows, over a colored degree empty background which shouldn´t feel empty, in order to embrace some characters in strongly colored suits which don´t change with the atmosphere, but should always be integrated while popping out, and also preserving the skin tone, which is very pale but not dull.

Oddbods is going to be released in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea for next chinese New Year, 10th of february, with a very noticeable marketing plan involving newspapers, TV and mobile phones. I hope it can reach many other countries as well, but that´s the starting point.

Khuda Yana

I'm super happy to show you two episodes of Khuda Yana, the anime I was involved in as a concept artist during 2011 in BRB Internacional, a mythic animation studio from Barcelona, Spain. I had the time of my life there!
